As skills develop, juniors move through the Academy pathway and can enter JGS events and the Order of Merit.

Common questions.

What if my child has never played golf before?▾
Absolute beginners are very welcome — the Academy is specifically designed so that juniors with no experience at all can join and get started. Your child will be grouped with others at a similar level.
Does my child need their own clubs?▾
Not to start. Playsport has equipment available for beginners. As your child progresses it's worth investing in a junior starter set — we're happy to advise on what's appropriate for their age and size.
What happens if a session is cancelled due to weather?▾
Sessions are rarely cancelled outright — if the weather prevents on-course play we switch to the range, short game area or Toptracer bays at Playsport. Parents are updated by email or WhatsApp.
Can I cancel or pause the membership?▾
Yes — the Academy is rolling monthly with no long-term contract. Cancel or pause with a month's notice at any time. We want it to work for your family's schedule.
Will my child be able to enter JGS events?▾
Yes — as Academy members progress and feel ready, they can enter JGS events and club opens listed on the events calendar. The Academy is the natural starting point for the Order of Merit pathway.
