Terms & Conditions
The terms on which Junior Golf Scotland provides coaching, camps, events and membership.
Junior Golf Scotland · Scottish charity SC051603 · Junior Golf Ltd · Company SC625804
Effective 4 August 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you book a place for a child on any Junior Golf Scotland programme — Academy classes, the Development Squad, holiday camps, one-to-one coaching or events — or when you register a golf club with us. By completing a booking you accept these terms on behalf of yourself and the child you are booking for.
Junior Golf Scotland is a Scottish charity, registration number SC051603, registered at 5 Hazelwood Avenue, Newton Mearns, G77 5PT. You can reach us at gregg@juniorgolfscotland.co.uk.
2. Who can book
Bookings must be made by a parent or guardian aged 18 or over, who is responsible for the accuracy of the information given and for payment. You must tell us about any medical condition, allergy or additional need that could affect your child's safety at a session, and keep that information up to date.
3. Places and availability
Every class, squad and camp has a limited number of places and they are allocated in the order bookings are completed. A place is only confirmed once payment has succeeded and you have received a confirmation email. Where a class is full you can join a waiting list and we will contact you if a place opens up.
4. Fees and payment
Recurring memberships
Academy membership is £35 per month and Development Squad membership is £55 per month, taken by subscription. The first payment is taken when you sign up and each payment thereafter is taken automatically on the same date each month until the subscription is cancelled. Trial sessions are charged as a single payment at the price shown when you book.
Camps and events
Camps and events are paid for in full at the time of booking, at the price shown at the point of booking. Camps can be booked as a full week or as individual days.
How payment is taken
All payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered directly with Stripe and are never stored by us. If a payment fails, Stripe will retry it; if it continues to fail, the membership may be cancelled and the place released.
You can update the card on a subscription at any time through the payment portal linked in your renewal emails.
5. Discounts
Discount codes apply only to the bookings and people they are issued for, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be applied after a booking has been completed. The Academy and Development Squad members' camp discount requires the child to hold an active membership at the time of booking, and is verified automatically.
6. Cancellation and refunds
Monthly memberships
You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops the next payment; your child keeps their place until the end of the month you have already paid for. We do not refund part months, and we do not refund payments already taken.
Camps and one-off bookings
If you cancel more than 14 days before the first day booked, we will refund in full. Inside 14 days we cannot normally offer a refund, because the place has been held and staffing arranged — but contact us, as we will always try to move the booking to another date where we can.
When a booking closes
Individual camp days stop being bookable from 00:01 on the day itself, and a full-week booking stops being available from the Monday of that week. After those points the only way to join is to contact us directly.
If we cancel
If we have to cancel a session — through weather, coach illness, course closure or anything else — we will offer a replacement session or a full refund of the affected session. Where a single session in a monthly programme is lost, we will normally run a replacement rather than refund.
Nothing in this section affects your legal rights as a consumer.
7. Attendance and behaviour
Please arrive in good time and let us know if your child cannot attend. Sessions run to a fixed schedule and missed sessions cannot usually be made up.
We expect juniors to behave with the courtesy golf is known for — towards coaches, other juniors, staff and the course itself. We may ask a junior to leave a session, or withdraw their place without refund, where behaviour is dangerous, persistently disruptive, or amounts to bullying or abuse. We would always speak to you first unless the safety of others requires immediate action.
8. Supervision and safeguarding
Our coaches are responsible for juniors during the session itself. Outside those times, including before and after sessions and anywhere else on the venue's premises, supervision remains the responsibility of the parent or guardian. Please make sure your child is collected promptly.
Coaches working with juniors hold the appropriate PVG scheme membership. If you have a safeguarding concern, raise it with us immediately at gregg@juniorgolfscotland.co.uk.
9. Venues
Sessions are delivered at Academy Host Venues, which are independent golf facilities. While your child is at a venue you are also subject to that venue's own rules, including its dress code and course etiquette. We are not responsible for the condition of a venue's facilities.
10. Equipment and belongings
Juniors are welcome to use their own clubs; we can provide equipment where needed. Personal belongings are brought to sessions at your own risk and we cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage.
11. Photography
We sometimes take photographs or video at sessions and events for our website and social media, and we ask for your consent separately. You can refuse or withdraw consent at any time and it will not affect your child's place.
12. Your information
We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy, which covers what we collect about you and your child, why, and your rights over it.
13. Our responsibility to you
Golf carries inherent risk and participation is at your own risk. We maintain public liability insurance and take reasonable care in delivering our programmes.
We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else which cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our liability in connection with any booking is limited to the amount you paid for it.
14. Changes
We may need to change a coach, a session time or a venue; we will tell you as far in advance as we can. We may update these terms from time to time — the effective date at the top of this page will change, and where a change materially affects an existing booking we will tell you directly.
15. Complaints and governing law
If something has gone wrong, please tell us at gregg@juniorgolfscotland.co.uk and we will look into it properly.
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland and are subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
