How does scoring work?

Each player plays a shortened 9 hole course with holes averaging out to approximately 150 yards. Each player is awarded 36 shots at the start of their round and they will try to get as far round the 9 holes as possible. Wherever the players 36th shot finishes up they will plant their flag and this will mark their finishing point. The winner is the player that gets furthest round the course. There are various rules designed to help the players get round the course without getting stuck. There is a maximum of 10 shots per hole, after 3 failed attempts out a bunker they can lift and drop without penalty and a maximum of 4 putts per hole.
