Being friends, the girls match was very relaxed which led to some great golf being shown and a close match. At the turn, Jayla was 1 up. It is always tough to turn up in March after a long winter with swing changes still taking effect, but the girls did not disappoint!
In the end Jayla was able to come out the eventual victor 4&3 over Mia. A great effort by both girls and I very much look forward to seeing how they both improve as the season goes on!
A tale of 2 halves! Jamie got off to a very quick start, he was 3 up through 4 holes and was looking very good from the get go!
Dylan steadied the ship and pulled the match back to all square through 12 holes! It was nip and tuck from there, 1up – all square – 1 up and the match went onto the 18th tee all square. Dylan was receiving a shot from Jamie on 18. Jamie holed the winning putt from 10ft to secure the win! Well done to both players for a great match!
Both Jessica and Zachary managed to knock out some strong competitors along the way to the final, so it is safe to say we were expect a close final and Jessica and Zachary did not disappoint!
Playing matchplay over 9 holes is a tough format as you don’t have much time to recover from a couple of bad holes! Thankfully both players played well and there was a hole up or down in either direction. Zachary came through in the end to win on the 8th 2&1 to become our 9 hole matchplay champion! Well done!
We have partnered up with Toptracer Range to offer a new and exciting challenge for Junior Golf Scotland players. Each month there will a different course to play – you can play it as many times as you want within the designated week – with the goal to get the lowest nett score. This series is available to both 9 hole and 18 hole competitors.
