Hilton Park will play host to our first 54 hole event. The event will run on Thursday 4th and Friday 5th August. There will be separate boys and girls categories and both gross and nett scoring for the event. For those playing in the gross scoring categories there will be European Amateur Ranking points available. Each player will play 36 holes on Thursday 4th August with the top half of the field in each category being invited back for a final 18 holes on the Friday to determine the 4 winners from the boys and girls gross and nett categories. This event costs £25 to enter. There will be no handicap maximum, but players will be asked to select whether they are playing in the gross or nett prior to the event and players will be grouped with others from the same category.
For the 9 hole players they will compete over 18 holes, 9 holes on Saturday 7th May and 9 holes on Sunday 8th May at Playsport Golf. They will play strokeplay for the purposes of this event. There will be no cut, so all players will play both days. There will be separate boys and girls categories so we will have one boy champion and one girl champion, anyone participating in the 9 hole championship can have a handicap index of no lower than 17.6 at the time of entry.
The flag players will also compete on a strokeplay basis although will adopt their usual rules in terms of playing from forward tees, bunker rules etc. but all will complete 9 holes on both days at Playsport Golf (07/05 & 08/05). Again there will be both a boys and girls winner based on the scores submitted over the 2 days. To participate in the flag championship each player must not have a handicap.
