We cannot wait to get the 2023 season underway!
As was the case last year, players will need to qualify for the Tour final. This year the final will be over 2 days at Carnoustie Golf Links over the Buddon and Burnside courses. Based on the feedback from last years final, everyone seemed keen to make more of an event of the final, so here it is!
How do you qualify for the final?
The easiest way is to win an event. The winner in each category at each event will earn an invite to the final, should the winner have already qualified then 2nd place will get an invite etc. There is plenty of scope to earn an invite to the final!
How will scoring work for the final?
All 18 hole players will automatically be entered to both the scratch and their respective nett categories (Under 13 and 13+). In order to be the winner you simply need to have the lowest combined score over the 2 days. 9 hole stableford players will collect stableford points over the 2 days, the winner will be the player with the highest points over the 2 days. For the flag category, you will be allocated points based on your finishing position each day, 100 for 1st, 95 for 2nd, 90 for 3rd, 85 for 4th etc. The winner will be the player with the highest number of points over the 2 days. In the event of any ties on each day points for the places will be added and divided by the number of players tied.
Should any of the categories tie then there will be a sudden death play off….so make sure you stick about until the end!

Today’s Golfer published the World Golf Top 100 Courses, Scotland (March 2023), featuring Kilmacolm in the list of Best Golf Courses in Scotland
A James Braid undulating moorland with really interesting holes among pines, gorse, and heather. A welcome new entry for a course where shot-making rather than length is the key.

THROW BACK THURSDAY
Skills Challenge and Tour Final > October 2019
If I remember correctly it was freezing for the skills challenge final at Carnoustie!! We were fortunate enough to be able to do the driving element in the simulators at Carnoustie. The putting and chipping was outside in the cold….however it was a great final event and everyone did great!
